MINUTES OF THE 30th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD AT BARWICK IN ELMET CRICKET CLUB ON WEDNESDAY 6th APRIL
Apologies for absence were received from Ted & Alma Bond, June Varley, Andrew Varley, David Varley, Kevin & Elisabeth Hawkins, Jim Walton, Glyn & Cynthia Hall. Mary & Brian Sellers, Tony Swiers & Maureen Tebb. There were 34 members present. The attendance list is attached.
- President's welcome and opening remarks: The president welcomed members to the AGM, the third at Barwick, and hoped for an enjoyable evening of bridge afterwards.
- Minutes of the last AGM: It was proposed and seconded that the minutes be taken as read. There was general approval.
- Matters arislng: None.

- Adoption of the reports: Proposed, seconded, and carried
- Election of officers, committee members and auditor: Nominations had been received for all existing members of the committee. There being no other nominations they were elected en bloc. It was hoped that Roy, on recovery from his surgery would carry on as auditor. Thanks to Jack Appleyard for standing in at the last moment.
- Election of Vice President: Included in item 8 above.
- Proposals and amendments: See agenda attached for details.
- Amendment 1 was carried. Amendment 2 was carried. The substantive motion as amended was withdrawn by the proposer.
- The proposal was carried a show of hands.

Treasurer's report (b) was now taken:The treasurer recommended that the subscription remain at the current level of £5 and that table money remain at £2 for Barwick and £1.50 for Halliday Court. This recommendation was approved.
